In Chicago, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Illinois on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My partner and I stopped in for lunch before a Cubs game recently & the joint was lively! There isn’t a ton of seating, but we snagged a high top as someone was leaving. We ordered a slice of cheese & a slice of their white pizza. The slices were perfectly sized & dangerously delicious (we both thought we wanted another slice, but knew we’d eat at the game.) Zaza’s has some of the best pizza we’ve ever had.

Zaza’s became my absolute favorite pizza place after my first bite. The crust: tender yet crispy on the bottom and the edges are puffy and packed with rich yeasty, garlicky flavor from the magic garlic olive oil they brush on. I usually get just cheese and I love the sauce - it’s got a little kick of sweet, a subtle hint of spice - I kind of crave it.

The pizza is decent (not the best in town but decent for the neighborhood), but the customer service consistently and completely ruins the experience. I’ve been here at least six times (sometimes picking up and sometimes eating), hoping things would improve, but the staff has consistently been rude, dismissive, and unfriendly every single visit. I’m someone who always tips 20% because I genuinely believe in supporting restaurant workers and rewarding good service. But this is one of the few places where I honestly don’t think tipping is deserved. The attitude and lack of courtesy from the staff sets a terrible example and makes customers feel unwelcome. Would not recommend. If you’re ordering pizza here, just know you’re coming for the food, definitely not the service. Don’t tip, don’t reward the bad behavior. Tip is for service not for food. Don’t confuse the two.

Such incredible pizza! Zazas brings New York City straight to the Windy City. This shop serves pizza by the slice and whole pies. Hot honey pepperoni is always a reliable combo. The crispy cup and char pepperoni works wonderfully with the creamy risotto and kick of heat from the sweet hot honey. The sauce is bright and tangy. The dough was cooked perfectlyβ€”so crispy and great structure. The crust was very crunchy and satisfying as well. It had really amazing flavor due to the rosemary garlic oil, too. I recommend trying a white slice, especially the truffle mushroom. The mushrooms are really fresh and sharp along with a melty, cheesy base. I also tried a slice of their Grandma pie, which was amazing! You could really taste the vibrancy of the red sauce on this slice. The basil was super fresh and peppery. The bread wasn’t heavy at all and tasted sort of like a focaccia. If you’re craving a slice of New York, Zazas will do the trick!

One of the top NY style pizzas in Chicago. It all starts with the dough and Zaza's nails it with their crispy chewy crust perfection. The cups of sausage hit the spot. The only knock is the cheese, sauce, crust proportion in the center. Less sauce and a tad more cheese would be my preference for perfection but a great great pizza.
